The highly competitive program is designed to help HR leaders develop the skills required for the role of CHRO, boost HR performance and deliver meaningful results for their HR workforce and university employees.

"I am excited, honored and humbled to be nominated and selected to participate in the CHRO Academy. I am committed to applying the skills and knowledge acquired through this experience to continue to improve the human resource services to our employees, KU and the communities we engage with,” Loving said.

Mike Rounds, vice provost for operations and chief human resource officer, was asked to nominate one individual from KU to take part in the program.

"Angie is an exceptional HR leader who has had a significant impact shaping and leading a broad range of people initiatives for KU’s workforce. She also has established a great reputation across the state and nationally by leading numerous CUPA-HR initiatives and events. The CHRO Academy was designed to mold the next generation of HR leaders for our leading universities — Angie is the perfect HR leader to be representing KU," Rounds said.

“I appreciate the support from Mike and KU leadership to invest in my professional development and overall growth in the HR field,” Loving said. “Through this experience and the opportunity to participate in the profession at a national level, I hope to gain insights and skills that will strengthen my contributions here at KU.”

The inaugural cohort of the program is limited to 15 participants and will take place in August at Deloitte University in Westlake, Texas.
