Media advisory: Information on obtaining credentials for Bob Dole visit April 22


LAWRENCE — Former U.S. Sen. Bob Dole will visit the Dole Institute of Politics at the University of Kansas on Tuesday, April 22. There will be a public open house starting at approximately 11 a.m. and ending at noon in Hansen Hall.

Members of the media who wish to attend the event are asked to apply for credentials issued by KU News Service. Media without credentials will not be admitted.

Media may apply for the limited number of credentials by contacting the KU News Service at kunews@ku.edu by noon Friday, April 18. KU News will notify media outlets about the status of their applications by noon Monday, April 21. Approved media may obtain their credentials at the Dole Institute on the day of the event.

The April 22 event will feature brief remarks by Dole and Chancellor Bernadatte Gray-Little. In order for Dole to spend as much time as possible with his former constituents, he will not be available for one-on-one interviews with the media.
