Spotlight on Care returns for its third year

LAWRENCE – This fall, Spotlight on Care will take place on intermittent Thursdays at noon, beginning Sept. 2. As is signature for the series, each session will engage perspectives and practices of colleagues near and far who incorporate or center care and well-being in their research and practice.

The first session of the semester will be an opportunity to check in with colleagues and friends as well as consider labor, equity and rest.

The series is co-hosted by The Commons, IPSR Center for Compassionate and Sustainable Communities, Spencer Museum of Art and the Emily Taylor Center for Women & Gender Equity with support from the Environmental Studies Program, the Center for Teaching Excellence and the Center for Faculty Development and Mentoring.
