Mon, 03/11/2013 — LAWRENCE – It is one of the most popular consumer electronics gadgets in U.S. history, and now with the help of the Center for Educational Testing and Evaluation (CETE) at the University of Kansas, the iPad may one day change the way students take standardized tests. Tyrone Duncan, a professor at KU since 1974, is the recipient of the 2013 W.T. and Idalia Reid Prize from the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM). The award honors individuals for their research or contributions to differential equations and control theory.
