Nominate a student worker for Student Employee of the Year


LAWRENCE — The University Career Center has opened nominations for Student Employee of the Year. The award was established to recognize student employees who embody service excellence, dedication and stellar academic achievement. Any supervisor may nominate up to three students for the award, and the nominations are due Feb. 7.

Students must meet the following criteria in order to be nominated for the 2019-2020 award:

  • Full- or part-time enrollment (degree-seeking) through spring 2020
  • Undergraduate or graduate student classified as a student hourly
  • Minimum of six months part-time or three months full-time KU employment between June 1, 2019, and May 31, 2020
  • 2.5 minimum GPA

The winner and all nominees will be recognized during a ceremony April 14. The Student Employee of the Year will be awarded $500 and entered into the National Student Employee of the Year competition.
