In an effort to continue improving library spaces, renovations are underway for the study carrels on Watson’s fourth floor in the west wing stacks. This effort is currently in the design and development stage, with a targeted completion date of December 2019. The carrels on Watson’s third-floor west wing were renovated in 2017 through a partnership with students from the School of Architecture & Design.

The Digital Humanities Studio has moved to 302 Watson Library. The studio may be used for events and activities such as seminars, workshops, hackathons, data sharing and digital lab components of courses. The space is open to digital humanities scholars and all library users.
