KU Libraries announce systematic review workshop

LAWRENCE — The University of Kansas Libraries will host a systematic review workshop from 9 a.m. to noon Sept. 13. The workshop will take place at the Clark Instruction Center in Watson Library.

In this workshop, participants will be introduced to the purpose, process and skills relevant to systematic reviews. Training will be offered by experienced librarians who provide the libraries’ systematic review service to KU researchers.

Cochrane Reviews says that a systematic review "attempts to identify, appraise and synthesize all the empirical evidence that meets pre-specified eligibility criteria to answer a specific research question. Researchers conducting systematic reviews use explicit, systematic methods that are selected with a view aimed at minimizing bias, to produce more reliable findings to inform decision-making."

To register, please visit rockcha.lk/SRworkshop. The workshop is open to faculty, staff and students of all disciplines. No prior experience is expected or required.

Additional questions may be addressed to Scott McEathron, head of the Center for Graduate Initiatives & Engagement, at macmap68@ku.edu
