Vice provost for faculty affairs candidate presentations schedule set


LAWRENCE — Finalists for the position of vice provost for faculty affairs at the University of Kansas will take part in interviews and presentations in early and mid-June, search committee leaders have announced. The names of each of the three finalists will be shared a day before their scheduled public presentation.

The schedule:

Candidate 1

Presentation 10-11:30 a.m. June 1 in Forum D, Burge Union

Interview with search committee and constituent groups will take place June 2.

Candidate 2

Presentation 10-11:30 a.m. June 5 in Forum D, Burge Union

Interview with search committee and constituent groups will take place June 6.

Candidate 3

Presentation 10-11:30 a.m. June 8 in Forum A, Burge Union

Interview with search committee and constituent groups will take place June 9.

Finalists will also take part in interviews and meetings with the search committee, KU leaders and key constituent groups the following day.

The presentations are open to members of the KU community and will include time for questions. Candidates will address the topic “Who are the faculty and how can the VPFA support them?” Each presentation will also be livestreamed and recorded for later viewing. Login details will be provided with each candidate announcement.

Individuals can offer feedback and observations about each candidate through a feedback form on the search webpage that will be available shortly after each candidate delivers their presentation. The opportunity to offer feedback on each candidate will be open for a limited time.

Ann Brill, dean of journalism & mass communications, and Nate Brunsell, professor of geography & atmospheric science and Faculty Senate president, are leading the search committee.
