KPR and the Dole Institute to present ‘An Evening with NPR’s Juana Summers’

LAWRENCE – Kansas Public Radio and the Dole Institute of Politics will welcome National Public Radio’s Juana Summers to the University of Kansas for an evening of discussion. The free public program will take place at 7 p.m. Feb. 21 at the Dole Institute of Politics, featuring Summers’ insights on national politics as well as her experience as a journalist and news host.

Summers is a co-host of NPR's “All Things Considered” alongside Ailsa Chang, Ari Shapiro and Mary Louise Kelly. She joined the program in June 2022. Before her time as a news host, Summers covered national politics for more than a decade, including at NPR as its national political correspondent. This work has included coverage of Congress and the last three presidential elections, as well as race, justice and other aspects of American politics.

The evening will consist of a 45-minute interview with Summers, conducted by the Audrey Coleman, director of the Dole Institute, followed by an opportunity for attendees to ask questions as time allows. Space is limited, but viewers can also watch the program online.
