KU career website HireJayhawks.com expands job postings for students

LAWRENCE — The KU career website HireJayhawks.com now offers one comprehensive job search platform, allowing University of Kansas students to explore the part-time job opportunities available to them on-campus, locally and remotely. Previously, students had to search both HireJayhawks.com and employment.ku.edu to learn about available part-time job options.

“More than 90% of KU students work while attending college. In fact, the most popular questions we are asked at orientation are related to part-time jobs,” said David Gaston, assistant vice provost for academic success. “Including on-campus student hourly positions in HireJayhawks.com allows students to apply to the part-time jobs that meet their needs and fit their interests.”

HireJayhawks.com is KU‘s career management system, operated by the University Career Center, Business Career Services and Engineering Career Services. There are over 15,000 jobs (full- and part-time) and internships posted on the website annually. HireJayhawks.com provides KU students with the unique ability to search for jobs from employers specifically looking to hire Jayhawks and includes part-time jobs on- or off-campus, internships, full-time jobs, and research and volunteer opportunities.

In addition to job and internship postings, students can schedule appointments with career coaches, search for career events and use career resources, such as the mock interview tool.

Employers can post their jobs and internships for free on HireJayhawks.com. Employers can get more information about job postings and KU career services by visiting hirejayhawks.ku.edu/employers.
