University community remembers IT storeroom supervisor John Adee

LAWRENCE — The University of Kansas community is remembering employee John Adee, who died Dec. 28, 2021. He was 52.

John AdeeAdee had been a storeroom supervisor for KU Information Technology since 2011.

“We are deeply saddened to learn of the death of John Adee, who was a devoted member of our information technology team,” said Chancellor Douglas A. Girod. “On behalf of the entire university, I express my sincerest condolences to his family, his friends and his KU colleagues.”

Before joining KU, Adee worked 15 years for Sprint North Supply Company in New Century. He also was a volunteer firefighter in Talmage.

Survivors include Lee Ann, his wife of more than 30 years and a manager for the Eaton Shared Service Center, and their sons, Chris and Jeff.

Services were Jan. 3 in Ottawa.
