Faculty, staff invited to A Taste of KU Dining

LAWRENCE — University of Kansas faculty and staff are invited to attend a free KU Faculty and Staff Appreciation Event, A Taste of KU Dining. The event will be from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21, in The Underground, Wescoe Hall.

Activities are as follows:

  • Enjoy a variety of food and beverage samples representing KU Dining retail and residential locations. Offerings will include dal makhani with basmati rice from The Underground’s new Café Spice, stone hearth pizza from North College Café, gluten-free offerings from Fresh Fare, hot wings from The Studio and many more.
  • Receive information about the KU Cuisine Faculty/Staff Dining Plan, designed to offer on-campus convenience, flexibility and savings — a benefit of KU employment. Participate by adding as little as $45 in KU Cuisine Cash to a KU Card and get a bonus $5 value immediately, usable at any KU Dining Services location. Participating faculty and staff then save an additional 10 percent at the all-you-care-to-eat Residential Dining Centers (Mrs. E’s at Ekdahl Commons in Lewis Hall, Oliver Dining or North College Café at GSP Hall). On the Plan, card holders may also host University-affiliated guests at any KU Dining retail or residential location. KU Card holders with KU Cuisine Cash also receive 10 percent savings on Fridays at any KU Dining retail food court, restaurant, coffee shop or snack bar.
