Spring Engineering Career Fair to host more than 100 employers

LAWRENCE — A valuable opportunity to learn more about career possibilities, summer internships or to simply network with prospective employers is available to University of Kansas students at the Spring Engineering and Computing Career Fair. It runs from noon to 4 p.m. Feb. 14 on the fifth floor of the Kansas Union.

More than 100 companies and employers are registered to attend. Students are advised to review the complete list of employers scheduled to attend and learn something about those of interest prior to arriving.

The event, coordinated by the Engineering Career Center in the KU School of Engineering, is open to all KU students in any major but especially targets those involved in engineering, computing, related fields and the hard sciences.

Students are also reminded to dress professionally and arrive with several copies of their resume to share with prospective employers. For a look at what to expect, check out this video about the career fair.

The Engineering Career Center has scheduled several events to help students prepare for the career fair. Students are invited stop by the career center, 1001 Eaton Hall, for tips on how to improve their resume. There also are events to help students prepare for interacting with potential employers.
