University mourns death of student Brian Carman

LAWRENCE – University of Kansas Chancellor Bernadette Gray-Little released the following statement regarding the death of KU senior Brian Carman:

“On behalf of the entire University of Kansas community, I offer sincere condolences to the family of Brian Carman. He honored us all with his service to our nation, and we are truly thankful for that.”
 
Carman served in the U.S. Marines and the Kansas National Guard and was deployed to Kosovo, Iraq and Saudi Arabia.
 
Carman was a senior in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, attending classes on the Edwards Campus. He died Dec. 30.
