Chancellor, dean of Pharmacy offer condolences on death of student Sara Schebler

LAWRENCE — University of Kansas Chancellor Bernadette Gray-Little and School of Pharmacy Dean Ken Audus issued the following statements regarding the death of student Sara E. Schebler.

Gray-Little: “On behalf of the entire University of Kansas community, I offer the deepest sympathies on the death of Sara Schebler. Our thoughts and prayers are with her loved ones at this difficult time.”

Audus: “My condolences go out to the family and friends of Sara Schebler. All of us at the KU School of Pharmacy are saddened by the loss of this very bright young woman."

Schebler, a sixth-year pharmacy student, died Aug. 29 at her home in Olathe. She was 31.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, Sept. 2 at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. Funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 3 at the St. John Lutheran Church in State Center, Iowa.
