Nominate a student for Student Employee of the Year


LAWRENCE — The University Career Center has announced the opening of nominations for Student Employee of the Year award. Nominations are open until Feb. 7.

The award was established to recognize student employees that embody service excellence, dedication and stellar academic achievement. Any supervisor may nominate up to three students for the award.

Students must meet the following criteria in order to be nominated for the 2017-2018 award:

  • Full or part-time enrollment (degree-seeking) through spring 2018
  • Undergraduate or graduate student classified as a student hourly
  • Minimum of six months part-time or three months full-time KU employment between June 1, 2017, and May 31, 2018
  • 2.5 minimum GPA

The winner and four finalists will be recognized during a ceremony April 10. The Student Employee of the Year will be awarded $500 and entered into the National Student Employee of the Year competition.
