KU mourns student Hallie Steele

LAWRENCE — University of Kansas Chancellor Bernadette Gray-Little issued the following statement regarding the death of student Hallie Steele:

"On behalf of the KU community, I offer deepest condolences to the family and friends of Hallie Steele. Our thoughts are with them at this time of loss."

Steele, of Lenexa, was to enter her second year in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences in the fall. She died July 14.
