'Connecting Through Poetry and Prose' presentation on Nov. 12


LAWRENCE — KU Libraries will host a Gallery Lecture Series presentation by Ignacio Carvajal, poet and assistant professor in the Department of Spanish & Portuguese at the University of Kansas. The presentation, titled “Connecting Through Poetry and Prose,” is the second lecture in the fall Gallery Lecture Series lineup and will take place from 1-2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, in Watson Library, third floor West. Carvajal, along with graduate students Margarita Alely Nuñez Arroyo, Department of American Studies, and Polo Camacho, Department of Philosophy, will discuss the creative research process and read from their recent works of poetry and nonfiction.

The fall Gallery Lecture Series is developed in conjunction with the Haricombe Gallery exhibition “Strong Foundations: 100 Years of Hispanism at the University of Kansas.” The Gallery Lecture Series features interdisciplinary lectures and creative works from scholars and researchers across campus and the community.
