LAWRENCE — Resources for educators are now available on the Common Book website, where instructors will find a variety of assets that support teaching the 2022-23 KU Common Book, “Disability Visibility: First-Person Stories from the Twenty-First Century,” edited by Alice Wong.

The resources provided include assignment templates and examples that can be adapted to a wide range of courses, short videos about disability studies that can be assigned in conjunction with readings, and related library and educational materials to aid educators and students with researching the topics discussed in the book. More content will be added throughout the semester.

Anyone with assignment examples or additional assets that would support teaching “Disability Visibility” who would like to contribute to the educational resources provided on the website, please email commonbook@ku.edu. KU Libraries also offer expert librarian assistance with designing assignments across all disciplines that help students engage with the Common Book in the classroom. Set up an in-person or virtual collaboration meeting on our website or contact Jill Becker for more information.

Copies of “Disability Visibility” are available by request.
