Jennifer Ng named to new AAU Advisory Board on Racial Equity

LAWRENCE — The Association of American Universities has named Jennifer Ng to its newly created Advisory Board on Racial Equity in Higher Education.

Jennifer NgNg will be part of a subgroup focused on the recruitment of graduate students and faculty. Ng is KU’s associate vice provost for faculty development and a professor of educational leadership & policy studies in the School of Education & Human Sciences.

Composed of 25 campus leaders from across the nation, the advisory board will discuss and develop a collective strategy to assist AAU members as they work to address issues of racial inequity on campus. The advisory board also will examine structural barriers to access and success in higher education.

Ng also serves on the executive board of the Big 12 Association of Chief Diversity Officers as its director of faculty affairs.
