University announces December Employees of the Month

LAWRENCE — The University of Kansas has announced the Employees of the Month for December 2016:

Adam Braun
Adam Braun

Name: Adam Braun
Title: IT senior programmer, Information Technology

What that means: In his role, Braun provides web development support services for the University of Kansas and various units. He is responsible for the design, layout and coding of university websites. Although his primary responsibilities are to support the Human Resource Management’s websites, he has stepped up to support Design and Construction Management as well.

Notable: One of the projects that Braun, along with other developers, took on was a complete redesign of the Spencer Museum of Art’s website. This was a huge project, and Braun repeatedly went above and beyond in helping that project be successful.

In 2012, KU made the decision to move all websites into the Drupal content management system (CMS). Braun has become the go-to guy for even the stickiest of Drupal issues. Braun has been asked to help develop the next KU template because of his mastery level.

As the team of departmental web developers has grown, it became apparent that there was a need for more leaders within the team. Braun has adapted well to being a team lead and has excelled with all of the additional tasks that have come his way. Braun is a perfect mix of being incredibly competent in his field, jovial, approachable and a great communicator.
