Residence halls to sponsor annual Halloween event

LAWRENCE — Daisy Hill will be the site of Halloween in the Halls, in which Lawrence children may trick-or-treat in the residence halls. The event will take place from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, in the University of Kansas residence halls at 15th and Iowa streets.

Children must be accompanied by an adult for all activities.

Hashinger Hall will feature a not-too-scary haunted house. Ellsworth Hall will provide a Fun Fair, and youngsters may trick-or-treat in Lewis and Templin residence halls. KU students distributing candy will have Halloween decorations posted on their door. Scholarship hall students will join their residence hall friends to distribute candy.

Halloween in the Halls is sponsored by the Association of University Residence Halls and the All Scholarship Hall Council.

KU Student Housing offers three kinds of communities: residence halls, scholarship halls and apartment living with positive and academically focused environments. Student Housing offers leadership opportunities, community involvement and a trained and supportive staff.
