Rock Chalk Roadshow will visit high schools across Kansas

LAWRENCE — The annual Rock Chalk Roadshow is set to visit more than 80 schools across 4,207 miles in more than 60 counties in Kansas.

University of Kansas staff will visit schools to meet with counselors and drop off materials during the day. Evening receptions with families and interested students are planned in five cities. KU students who graduated from area high schools will be available to answer questions.

At the receptions, high school students will have a chance to register to win KU prizes. Photographs with Baby Jay also will be available.

The events for parents and students are in the following communities:
Hutchinson
Sunday, Aug. 19, Kansas Cosmosphere & Space Center, 1100 N. Plum St.
Doors open at 3:30 p.m. with the program at 4 p.m.
KU students attending: Josh Mendoza and Caitlin Doornbos, Hutchinson High School; Peter Calvillo, Trinity Catholic High School

Liberal
Monday, Aug. 20, Rock Island Depot, 4 Rock Island Road. Doors open at 6 p.m. with the program at 6:30 p.m.
KU students attending: Teresa Dinh, Liberal High School; K'cie Kinsinger, Ulysses High School

Garden City
Tuesday, Aug. 21, Clarion Inn Conference Center, 1911 E. Kansas Ave. Doors open at 6 p.m., program at 6:30 p.m.

Hays
