Rock Chalk Revue nearing $1M mark in United Way donations

LAWRENCE — This year organizers of Rock Chalk Revue, the compilation of five 20-minute student variety shows, anticipate reaching a $1 million fundraising milestone for the United Way of Douglas County since 1983.

This year’s show, “Easier Said than Done,” will be 7 p.m. March 1-2 and 5 p.m. March 3 at the Lied Center. Tickets went on sale Monday and are available online.

The five pairs participating in this year's show:

Beta Theta Pi and Chi Omega: “A Campus Carol”
Phi Kappa Psi and Kappa Alpha Theta: “Your Wish is My Command”
Sigma Chi and Kappa Delta: “A Mall Story”
Sigma Nu and Delta Delta Delta: “It Suits You”
Sigma Phi Epsilon and Delta Gamma: “A Letter For U”

Last year, Rock Chalk Revue donated a record $62,000 to the United Way, bringing its fundraising total to $958,000.
