LAWRENCE — The University of Kansas Audio-Reader Network is now accepting donations of new and gently used music and audio equipment for its annual “For Your EARS Only” benefit sale.

Donations can be brought to Audio-Reader, located at 1120 W. 11th St. on the KU campus, from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. during the week, and from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. on weekends. New and gently used vinyl LPs, CDs, DVDs, musical instruments, turntables and stereo equipment are all viable donations. Proceeds from the sale, which will be held Sept. 16–17 at the Douglas County Fairgrounds, will benefit the blind, visually-impaired, and print-disabled individuals who use Audio-Reader’s services.

The Kansas Audio-Reader Network is a reading and information service for blind, visually impaired, and print disabled individuals in Kansas and western Missouri and beyond. Volunteers read daily newspapers, magazines and best-selling books on the air and on the Internet, 24 hours a day, and automated newspaper readings are available by telephone. Services are offered free of charge to anyone who is unable to read normal printed material.
